  12.   This application is SHAREWARE. This means that it may be copied freely, as

  38. contact me first, including _full_ details of what you want to do with it. If
  39. it inspires you to write any other program, but you do not actually use any
  40. of my code, a credit would be nice!

  42.   Registering

  45.   This application is SHAREWARE. This means that you are entitled to try it
  46. out free of charge for a period of two weeks. If, after this period, you
  47. decide you wish to continue using the software, you _must_ register it.
  48. Registration costs £5 (as a cheque payable to 'Chris Whitworth' - sorry, UK
  49. sterling only) and entitles you to free upgrades on receipt of a disc with
  50. your existing (registered) version on it. Registered versions do not have
  51. the annoying error box which pops up every now and again, either.
  52.   I will send out details of the latest version to anyone who has registered.
  53. If you decide not to register, you must destroy all copies of the software.

  55.   I make no effort to ensure that the latest version is in PD libraries - if
  56. you want the latest version, then register.

  58.   Magazines

  61.   Something I don't understand is how magazines are getting away with
  62. distributing shareware on their coverdiscs. The whole idea is that you get to
  63. try before you buy, right? If you don't like it, you are legally (and
  64. morally) obliged to destroy all copies of the software. But if you still have
  65. it lurking on a cover-disc somewhere, how are you meant to do this? This, to
  66. me, seems to make the time limit on the software somewhat redundant.
  67. Therefore, this software may not be distributed in any form on a magazine
  68. cover disc (unless I have given my specific permission to allow this to be
  69. done)
