- !Extract, version 1.13 (07-Nov-91)
- ==================================
-
- !Extract is copyright © Philip Colmer, 1991. It may be freely copied
- provided that you do not charge anything for its distribution.
-
- Compress and Tar are by Frank Lancaster.
-
- !Extract takes articles posted to comp.binaries.acorn and decodes them to
- present the original files for your use.
-
- To use !Extract, simply save the articles to the !Extract window and then
- click on the "Extract" button when you have dropped the last one on it. The
- order of articles saved to the window is not important.
-
- When !Extract has done all of the decoding work on the files, a filer window
- will appear containing the original data. You should then save the data
- elsewhere.
-
- Any comments or bug reports to Philip Colmer (pcolmer@acorn.co.uk), please.
-
- Notes
- -----
-
- Operation of !Extract with any files other than those created by !Submit (as
- used by the moderator) is not guaranteed.
-
- !Extract will cope with article headers, introductory text, signatures and
- CR/LF combinations (although the last bit hasn't been tested :-)
-
- Bugs fixed
- ----------
-
- 1.13: You no longer need the article header at the top of files dropped onto
- !Extract ... it will start processing once it finds the rkive header.
-
- 1.12: Now copes with spaces on otherwise blank lines (eg GhostScript submission)
-
- 1.11: Fil got it wrong (as per usual)
-
- 1.10: Major re-release to make it even better for use with
- comp.binaries.acorn
-
- 1.01: Sometimes hit the end of a file without due cause (eg no signature
- attached)
- The tools can be placed in any directory now, so long as the !Run file
- points to the correct directory.
