- This file tells you how to recover from a password protected system where you
- (the owner) has forgotten your password.
-
- PRINT OUT THIS FILE, KEEP THE HARDCOPY SAFE, THEN DELETE IT
-
- Recovery is :
-
- 1. As soon as the desktop appears press and HOLD DOWN the F12 key until the
- command line prompt appears.
- 2. Enter the following commands :
- Wipe <Boot$ToBeTasks>.!Bootplus R~C
- WIPE <Boot$ToBeTasks>.!zzzzpass R~C
- ACCESS <Bootplus$Dir>.Resources.KillRiscPC RW
- OBEY <Bootplus$Dir>.Resources.KillRiscPC
- 3. Re-start your machine.
- 4. Open up "!Bootplus". (Owners know how to do this !!).
- 5. Open up the "Resources" directory.
- 6. Unprotect and delete the "Options" file.
-
- If you now start !Bootplus it will be in "no password" mode. All user
- definitions will be preserved.
-
- It may be that there is a setup/application already in your !Boot sequence which
- disables F12. Check this first by trying step 1 BEFORE enabling passwords in
- !Bootplus.
