  1. This file tells you how to recover from a password protected system where you 
  2. (the owner) has forgotten your password.
  3.  
  4. PRINT OUT THIS FILE, KEEP THE HARDCOPY SAFE, THEN DELETE IT
  5.  
  6. Recovery is :
  7.  
  8. 1. As soon as the desktop appears press and HOLD DOWN the F12 key until the 
  9.    command line prompt appears.
  10. 2. Enter the following commands :
  11.    Wipe <Boot$ToBeTasks>.!Bootplus R~C
  12.    WIPE <Boot$ToBeTasks>.!zzzzpass R~C
  13.    ACCESS <Bootplus$Dir>.Resources.KillRiscPC RW
  14.    OBEY <Bootplus$Dir>.Resources.KillRiscPC
  15. 3. Re-start your machine.
  16. 4. Open up "!Bootplus". (Owners know how to do this !!).
  17. 5. Open up the "Resources" directory.
  18. 6. Unprotect and delete the "Options" file.

  20. If you now start !Bootplus it will be in "no password" mode. All user 
  21. definitions will be preserved.
  22.  
  23. It may be that there is a setup/application already in your !Boot sequence which
  24. disables F12.  Check this first by trying step 1 BEFORE enabling passwords in
  25. !Bootplus.
