  8. AlterFile was written to allow the user to change any
  9. information, about a file, on any disc without using CLI
  10. commands or lots of different programs.
  11.  
  12. The following functions are supported by this Version of
  13. AlterFile:
  14.  
  15.                  - File renaming
  16.                  - Access setting
  17.                  - File type setting/changing
  18.                  - Load and execute address changing
  19.                  - Current datestamping
  20.                  - Changing time/date to load/exec
  21.                  - Changing load/exec to time/date
  22.

  24. To edit a file, simply drag it to the iconbar icon.
  25. A window showing all the files details will then appear on
  26. the screen.
  27. To edit a field (if the program allows) click the mouse
  28. button when the pointer is over the field you wish to edit.
  29. Edit it accordingly and press <RETURN>.
  30. To update the selected program's information bring up the
  31. menu and click on Update.
  32. Stamp, datestamps the selected file with the current date.
  33. UnStamp, converts the selected file to a load/exec address.
  34. Another file cannot be edited until the close icon of the
  35. current open window is clicked on.

  42. This program, if used correctly, will NOT cause damage to
  43. files using it. However I will not be held responsible for
  44. any damage or consequential loss arising out of the use
  45. of this software, due to the inability to use the software
  46. or any other pathetic excuse you may come up with.

  48. Permission is granted to do whatever you like with this
  49. program provided that this !Help file remains unaltered and
  50. is always included with the other files in this directory,
  51. and my name does not get removed from any part of the
  52. program.
