  8. v0.4/ This version of !Convert was not
  9.       Multitasking and used the F keys
  10.       for conversion selection.

  12.       a desktop version of !Convert,
  13.       and it failed !

  23. Instructions
  24. ------------
  25. Once loaded, to start !Convert, you
  26. need to click on it's icon on the icon
  27. bar.
  28. In the top box (the yellow one) inside
  29. the Convert window, you enter the
  30. conversion that you want to do. This can
  31. be done in two ways. One way is to :
  32. Click in this box, and type in, in lower
  33. case letters, the conversion Code which
  34. you want performed.  You can ONLY type
  35. things into this box if they are shown on
  36. one of the submenus. To see these menus,
  37. press MENU inside the Convert window, and
  38. follow across to view them. Eg. to
  39. !Convert centimetres to inches, you MUST
  40. type : cm-inch  (as shown on the submenu
  41. Length. Also, you must use (as the
  42. submenus show) the SINGULAR form of the
  43. measurement names ALL THE TIME.
  44. The other (better) way is to press MENU
  45. and bring up the appropriate submenu, and
  46. then click with SELECT on the menu
  47. option which you want to use. (!Convert
  48. then fills in the top (yellow) box for
  49. you.)

  51. Next, you enter the number of measurement
  52. units to be converted, into the left box
  53. (the orange one). Eg. to work out how
  54. many inches 3 centimetres would be, you'd
  55. type ' cm-inch ' into the top box, and
  56. ' 3 ' into the left box. To do the
  57. Conversion, just click on the bottom
  58. button, which is labelled 'CONVERT'.

  77. excellent procedure library, without it this
  78. program would not exist. The Procedure Library
  79. is not PD. The Interface Manager is Public
  80. Domain and is not part of !Convert.

  82. Copying Info
  83. ------------
  84. This software is Shareware. It is not public
  85. Domain. You may however copy it to people
  86. for them to evaluate it, as long as you do not
  87. do so for any profit, and that the application
  88. is kept intact and unchanged. Use after one
  89. week means you should pay a fee, as detailed
  90. below. If you run a PD library, you may
  91. distribute !Convert, making sure to include
  92. the Help file and the main application.

  94. VERY IMPORTANT
  95. --------------
  96. From the day when you recieved !Convert,
  97. you have 7 days (this is a trial period),
  98. to decide whether you find !Convert
  99. useful or not. If you do want to use it
  100. after the trial period, follow instruction
  101. (a) below. If you don't, then that's fine,
  102. but you should follow instruction (b) below.

  104.  a) Register your copy with me.
  105.     This costs £3, and you will get support
  106.     and free upgrades as detailed when you
  107.     register, and you will be given 
  108.     permission by me to use !Convert, and
  109.     I will add you to my Database of !Convert
  110.     users. See below for where and who to
  111.     send the cheque to.

  113.  b) You should destroy/erase all copies you 
  114.     have of !Convert.

  116. If you want to continue using !Convert after
  117. the 1 week trial time, you SHOULD register.

  123. purpose. I can not be held responsible for any 
  124. loss or damage to your health, wealth or 
  125. marriage due to the action or inaction of !Convert.

  128. improvements, additions etc. If you find a bug, 
  129. please try to give as much information as possible 
  130. about how and under what circumstances the program
