  1. Schema 2 is an advanced spreadsheet package written for Clares by CRM
  2. Ltd, the co-authors of Acorn's integrated software package Advance.
  3. Amongst its many features, Schema 2 is upwards compatible with Advance
  4. and has many new and exciting facilities:

  6. * Retains all of the key features of the original Schema 
  7. * Multiple sheets up to 30,000 by 30,000 cells
  8. * A large and powerful set of 79 standard functions
  9. * User Macros can be used to add additional functions 
  10. * Matrix operations
  11. * Full control of cell sizes, formats, displays etc..
  12. * A flexible macro language closely modelled on BBC BASIC V 
  13. * Compatibility with the original Schema
  14. * Compatibility with Lotus 123 WK1 files

  16. * Revised storage allocation gives more economical use of memory and a
  17.   speed increase of some 300% in computation

  36. With the development of Schema 2 we have listened to what YOU want and
  37. require. For example, a major request was for cells to be able to hold
  38. multi line text or graphics. Now you can create Big cells which can
  39. contain these items. More than this the Big cell can store a live
  40. linked graph. This means that the graph uses data from the sheet to
  41. draw the graph and when the data is changed the graph is redrawn
  42. automatically to show the new data. Imagine the benefit of your graph
  43. always being up to date.

  45. Schema 2 is supplied with a comprehensive manual which includes a 100
  46. page Tutorial section that takes you through the basics of spreadsheet
  47. use in a humorous and light hearted manner using exercises based upon
  48. the mythical College of Irrational Sciences. A separate Macro manual
  49. is available free of charge for those who wish to write macros.
