  4. Videobase is an application to keep track of recordings and free spaces on a
  5. collection of video tapes. It is designed to make maintaining the database as
  6. easy as possible and to avoid the possibility of inappropriate inputs.
  7.  
  8. It uses a filetype of &344 by default at the moment which is NOT Acorn
  9. approved. Now that the design of the file format is stable I will be applying
  10. for an official filetype number.

  12. Please read the manual provided for full details about this program (double
  13. click on the 'Manual' file or drag it to a suitable text editor).

  18. This application is supplied to everyone 'as is', I do not give any
  19. guarantee that it is free of bugs, or supply any warranty about its
  20. suitability for use. However if there are any problems with it and you
  21. notify me of them then I will do my best to rectify them given the time and
  22. the ability.

  25. software. You should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook,

  50. on with something a bit more interesting!

  103. 2.10 - Added 'Scratchpad' option to main menu. This opens a scratchpad
  104.        dbox which stores the contents of writable icons dragged to
  105.        it. Text in the scratchpad can be dragged to writable icons
  106.        in other dboxes as well. This is rather half-hearted as I think
  107.        now a separate application would be better - however it was
  108.        easy to do so there it is..
  109.      - Changing the length of a tape now alters the length of the last
  110.        recording on the tape providing it is a gap and is long enough
  111.        i.e. no actual recording would be effected by the tape length
  112.        change
  113.      - Tape make now defaults to 'Unknown' in 'Add new tape' box
  114.      - A file can now be linked to each recording and displayed by
  115.        clicking on 'Notes...' in the 'Edit recording' dbox. The file can
  116.        be of any type and of any length. The absolute path name is stored
  117.        (at the moment..)
  118.      - Sprites and Templates tidied up
  119.      - Error when saving report options before 'Options' box has been
  120.        opened fixed
  121.      - Implemented 'tab stop' for the position of the 'Subject' area in
  122.        the main window. Clicking SELECT on the header bar sets the
  123.        display area for titles. This setting is also saved with the rest
  124.        of the options
  125.      - Added option to turn off the movement of the mouse pointer when
  126.        a popup menu opens (in 'Options' dbox, new default is not to move
  127.        the pointer)
  128.      - Deleting a recording now updates the list of gaps in the 'Find
  129.        space' dbox
  130.      - Clicking on a action button in dboxes opened off the main menu now
  131.        closes the menu tree
  132.      - Added buttons for editing menu configuration files to the 'Options'

  134.      - The 'Editing free space' window now takes the length of the new
  135.        recording from the length input in the 'Find space' dbox (instead
  136.        of making the length the same as the selected gap)
