  7.    Welcome to CSB.
  8.  
  9.    The CSB suite, whose documents directory you are now perusing, is a set of
  10. powerful cricket scoring and statistics applications, coded by me over the
  11. course of two summers.
  12.  
  13.    All of the documentation for the suite is included in this directory; this
  14. file is a sort of general overview.
  15.  
  16.    If you're a cricket enthusiast (like me) you may be interested in the
  17. demonstration matches; you may equally well have thought this was a cricket
  18. game and be really annoyed. If you're a scorer (like me) you may be inter-
  19. ested in using the program or seeing what stats are produced and saying "huh,
  20. well, it's no replacement for a proper ACU scorer." (I agree, actually). If
  21. you are a programmer (like me) you may be interested in some of the routines
  22. (heh, maybe not...).

  35.    The CSB suite is Freeware - you may copy it freely distributable provided
  36. all the above are included. Please delete your 'Options' file from !CSB
  37. before distributing. You may not sell the suite. However, Public Domain
  38. libraries may distribute the suite provided they charge at most 3 pounds
  39. (sterling) per disc.

  41.    Comments or any feedback whatsoever is (are?) welcome; my address is as
  42. the bottom of this file. I am also happy to distribute source code for the
  43. suite applications (send a disc); sources are not included with this release to save space.

  45.    For further details on individual applications or filetypes produced
  46. (these are not sanctioned) see the relevant files in this directory.
  47.    Simply put, MakeTeam is used to create cricket team files, which are fed
  48. into CSB before the match. CSB is used during the match to record it, ball by
  49. ball, or after the match, all at once.

  51.    All applications were written in C using the wonderful DeskLib library.

  61.    Planned improvements: make CSB output a proper scoresheet, either direct
  62. to paper or as a drawfile; addition of a !RunChart application, which
  63. produces run charts (yeah, ok...); make Update work properly.
