- Please install loadmap using:
-
- tar zxf loadmap.tar.gz -C /
-
- This will put the /etc/boot.conf and /sbin/loadmap files on your hard disk.
-
- Please edit /etc/boot.conf for your setup, and then run /sbin/loadmap.
-
- /sbin/loadmap will by default write to /dev/hda1. If your root device is
- not /dev/hda1, then please specify --rdev /dev/hdxx where hdxx is your
- root device.
-
- You can get help using 'loadmap --help'.
-
- To use the new kernels, you will have to point the RiscOS kernel loader at
- your root partition.
-
- OPTIONAL:
- Using this, you can take the minimum kernel from the kernel disk (extended-2
- partition), and put that in your root partition, and then have multiple
- kernels available.
