  1. Please install loadmap using:

  3. tar zxf loadmap.tar.gz -C /
  4.  
  5. This will put the /etc/boot.conf and /sbin/loadmap files on your hard disk.

  7. Please edit /etc/boot.conf for your setup, and then run /sbin/loadmap.
  8.  
  9. /sbin/loadmap will by default write to /dev/hda1.  If your root device is
  10. not /dev/hda1, then please specify --rdev /dev/hdxx where hdxx is your
  11. root device.

  13. You can get help using 'loadmap --help'.
  14.  
  15. To use the new kernels, you will have to point the RiscOS kernel loader at
  16. your root partition.

  18. OPTIONAL:
  19.   Using this, you can take the minimum kernel from the kernel disk (extended-2
  20.   partition), and put that in your root partition, and then have multiple
  21.   kernels available.
