- ** Using !NotePad **
- ********************
-
- This application should be easy enough to understand by just about everyone,
- so I'll keep this help file down to a minimum.
-
- Once the application has been loaded, clicking <Select> on the main icon
- on the icon bar will cause the Notepad window to be displayed, the notepad
- is made up of five pages each with four lines of description. At the top of
- the window is a 'Date Left' icon, clicking on the blank icon to the right
- of this icon will take the current date and place it in this icon, instead
- of the user actually inputting the data. If there is already a date in this
- icon then it will be overwritten by the new value.
-
- Entering your actual notes should be no problem, so I won't bother to
- explain that either! At the bottom of the window there are four icons,
- the two arrow icons are used to cycle through the five pages of notes, the
- 'Wipe' icon will erase the current page of the notepad. The 'Save' icon will
- save the entire notepad.

- ** History Of !Notepad **
- *************************
-
- Version 1.00
- ------------
-
- The first version, I don't think there will be any bugs in this version,
- however, several features (which I have already thought of) are not yet
- included.
-
- Version 1.10a
- -------------
-
- Bug corrected, when clicking <Select> on the main menu which appeared when
- <Menu> was clicked inside the notepad window the program crashed and died,
- it seems ok now.
-
- Preferences window added, NotePad can now be set up to open the main window
- as soon as the application is loaded.
-
- *************************
- ** Future Improvements **
- *************************
-
- Date & Time entering four each separate comment, with alarm clock options.
- Anything else that I think of between now and then. Comments appreciated.
-

- ** Hello's & Thanks **
- **********************
-
- Thanks must to go the following people for help and support within the
- writing of this and other applications, and for general support :
-
- Jari Kuhanen, thanks for all the help. Especially with the SWI's for the
- interface module. Thanks for the ace protector program
- which is great! I take it this application will run on
- ARM 3, you'd know, git! Have you added some decent samples
- to !Proctector yet, none of those dance music efforts!
-
- Sam Clayton, thanks for all the special help with the wimp support
- routines. I've re-written the menu routines (again), hope
- my code is tidy enough for you to understand. Thanks for
- all the extra help when I was originally learning to wimp
- program.
-
- Dominic Beesley, thanks for the 3D Tetris pre-release version, have you got
- the full game finished yet? Please send me a copy. Thanks
- for the Spidersoft Public Domain catalogue software, please
- send me a demo, I've not seen it yet(!)
-
- Karl Morton, what can I say, the best programmer I know. How's the
- new demo going? Thanks for the starfield routine, which I
- understand thoroughly, honest (!). Another great thanks for
- lending me your PRMs, without them this application would
- not have happened, well not for a long while anyway.
-
- Lee Blinkhorn, Thanks for your address book application, I think it beats
- mine easily. Whats the sprite in aid of for the Printer
- Driver loader application? How's the video labeller going
- on? Please let me have a finished copy of your address book
- I still havn't got one. Whats your score on the S.W.I.V.
- demo on single player?
-
- Tom Clayton, For breaking my programming sessions by calling in whenever
- I've just figured out how to do something, and ending up
- playing Manchester United Europe. Only joking, remember the
- 8-1 ???
-
- Andy Brierley, Thanks for the sound samples, and for the !Ghost+
- application. Thanks also for your !TalkieBit application
- which is quite entertaining.
-
- Simon For the truly amazing Interface module, just think, without
- Hungtington, that module we would still have windows looking like
- Acorns Desktop Publisher!
-
- Europe, For some excellent CDs which make programming that much
- easier. The new 'Prisoners In Paradise' CD is ACE!
-
- Skid Row, For some excellent music which manages to wake me up!
