4This starts of as an impressive drawing of a dragon and it slowly
4changes into the Datafile Logo with a message.  It is superb.

4This film starts of with a colour picture of a small boat.  It
4starts to spin like a whirl pool and when it stops it has changed
4in to an Acorn.  Again this is superb.

4As with all nick’s work they are exclusive to the library and

4controls the animation speed. This animation has been written
4especially with Dave of the DataFile in mind. He had the nerve
4to criticise my last animation for being too small, so this one
4goes some way towards appeasing him, with 625k of sprites
4smoothly spinning in subtle syncronicity.

4The 3D files were created by Euclid (as usual) with Mogul for
4the film creation on a faithful A410/1 with RiSC-OS 3, 36Mhz
4Arm3, NO HARD DISC (wow!) and an essential 4Meg.
4The suspension unit is an exact replica (to the mm) of that of
4the Astute 2WD competition radio controlled model car - hence
4the name of Astute Graphics (well it sounded good at the time).
4The object was to see if Euclid was capable of creating a true
4engineering working model. Well, hopefully as the result shows,
4it is - but only if you have worked a lot (masses) with it. (By
4the way, I’m rather chuffed with the spring).
4Requires AN19 and a 4Meg machine.

4It’s a cut-away model of a single-cylinder, double overhead
4camshaft four-stroke internal combustion engine (hence the name
4‘DOHC15’ - the ‘15’ indicates the screen mode it was created in.
4It goes some way beyond the rudimentary example supplied with
4Euclid (which only shows pistons, connecting rods and crank).
4This one also shows the cylinder barrel, cylinder head, spark
4plug, valves, actuators and cams - all in glorious, co-ordinated
4full motion! It also has an animated spark and burning sequence
4and the four ‘strokes’ of the cycle are annotated.

4!Split was written to ease the transportation of large files from
4one computer to another (not necessarily the same make). No
4attempt to compress the file is made, as it is assumed this has
4already been done. !Split will split a file into a number of
4smaller files, and will join them again when required.

4down the valves open and close in the correct sequence for each
4cylinder. The whole engine also revolves through 90 degrees to

4also includes a few smaller engine files.
