Tamara Szymanska is a painter and installation artist, whose practice extends to teaching history and philosophy of art, and art therapy for terminally ill and disabled children and youth, and to design of stage sets, logos, posters and advertising materials. She studied at the State Psychological Institute,Teacher's College, Jagiellonian University, and Joseph Kluza's State Art School, all in Krakow, Poland, and at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, Vancouver, British Columbia.
Scope and content
The work, entitled "Memories," is an installation by Tamara Szymanska, 1997, consists of seven white cloth pouches tied closed with string and labeled with indexed cards, each pouch containing a different object.
