Anna Wood is a sculptor born in Wales in 1972. She studied sculpture from 1993-1997 at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, Vancouver.
Scope and content
The collection consists of nineteen colour photocopies mounted on board, 25.5 x 37.5 cm, and one description of these images, on board; sheets 1-6 represent examples of Human Habitat, 7-18 present "Mobile Homes" series of sculpture made by Wood in 1996-1997, exhibited at Charles H. Scott Gallery, Vancouver, including four works subtitled "Skyscraper," "Adobe," "Igloo," "Camper," and "Portable."
Note
The artist stated that "Creating futuristic habitat and nomadic dwellings, the floor pieces (sculptures) are an amalgam of functional and fantasy architecture with devices for mobility."
