Alexandra Flood is a painter and photographer born in 1969 in Toronto, Ontario. She studied at Fuji Textiles School in Florence, Italy in 1988, at the National Academy of Fine Arts in New York in 1990, and at the Ontario College of Art from 1987-1992, where she received a Diploma in Fine Arts.
Scope and content
The work consists of one Hilroy Exercise Book, entitled "Making Cinnamon Buns," by Alexandra Flood, 1997, with seventy-two pages, paper bound, 23.2 cm x 18.1 cm, and seventy-two colour photoprints, 10 x 15 cm, photographed by Flood at the Savary Island Pie Company, West Vancouver, in May 1997.
Note
The artist noted: "The photographs document the artist's supervisor, Ann Kraft, making cinnamon buns according to the process that Eileen Hall, the owner and founder of The Savary Island Pie Company has developed."
