Hugh Kearney is a painter born in 1965 in Fredericton, New Brunswick. In 1984 and 1985 he studied at the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, and in 1987 received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Halifax.
Scope and content
The work consists of a found black wax human figure, 25 cm high, painted green, and adapted by the addition of a red phallus, standing in a bed of black volcanic stones found at a beach, [1997].
