- Quick Solution for Windows 3.1 Driver

- Windows 3.1 is highly compatable with Windows 3.0 in term of display driver.
- If you have Trident Driver&Utilities Version C4.01, the existing Windows 3.0
- Trident display drivers will fully support Windows 3.1 after a minor change.

- Here is a quick solution for Windows 3.1 driver:

- Replace OEMSETUP.INF file currently in BOTH root ("\") and
- \WIN30 directory of Trident Driver&Utilities Disk 2 with
- the attached OEMSETUP.INF file.

- After the replacement, the Windows driver in \WIN30 directory can support
- both Windows 3.0 and Windows 3.1.

- Installation Procedure for Windows 3.x
- --------------------------------------

- 1. First install MS Windows 3.x using the standard IBM VGA driver.

- 2. Make sure Windows 3.x is working properly.

- 3. Change to Windows 3.x directory (e.g. c:\windows), run SETUP.EXE.

- 4. Insert enclosed disk, change display driver to "Other...".

- 5. Enter the path of Trident driver (e.g. A:\WIN30 ).

- 6. Select a suitable Trident driver.

- 7. Follow instructions to finish SETUP.
