  26. A. Installation
  27.  
  28.    1. Copy 'MENULOAD.EXE' and 'ALML.DLL' to your hard disk under the
  29.       same directory, (for example, C:\MENULOAD).
  30.  
  31.    2.1 To install MenuLoad so it will be automatically loaded upon Windows
  32.        started by modifying WIN.INI.
  33.  
  34.        a. Load WIN.INI with your favorite editor or Windows' SysEdit.
  35.        b. You will find a key named "load=" under [windows] application
  36.           name. Add MenuLoad with full path name to that key. For example,
  37.           "load=c:\menuload\menuload.exe"
  38.           If "load=" is used by other application, then you can use Allty's
  39.           WinStart to load more than one application during Windows start
  40.           up. For more information see 2.2 for information.
  41.        c. Start your Windows and MenuLoad will be automatically loaded.

  43.    2.2 To install MenuLoad so it will be automatically loaded upon Windows
  44.        started by using ALLTY's WinStart utility.
  45.  
  46.        a. Run Windows first.
  47.        b. Start your ALLTY WinStart Installer (WSINST.EXE) under Windows.
  48.        c. Select 'Setup' in WsInst. You can add more application entries in
  49.           Setup dialog box.
  50.        d. See WinStart user's guide on how to install MenuLoad as one
  51.           application entry to be loaded upon Windows start up.
  52.        e. Exit Windows and run Windows again, MenuLoad will be loaded
  53.           automatically by WinStart.

  55.        If you don't have WinStart, read text file 'ALLTY.TXT' for
  56.        information on how to get it from us.

  58.    2.3 To run MenuLoad upon you request it.
  59.  
  60.        a. Run Windows first.
  61.        b. Use Program Manager 'Run' to start MenuLoad.

  64. B. After Starting MenuLoad
  65.  
  66.    After MenuLoad is running, you will see a small triangle mark (Allty
  67.    mark) on Program Manager's menu bar. The first 6 items under this
  68.    menu name are those system applications available from Program Manger's
  69.    Main folder. These are fixed in the MenuLoad menu and you can't change
  70.    them.

  73. C. Add A New Application Entry to MenuLoad
  74.  
  75.    1. To configure new applications, select 'Configure...', 'Add Entry...'
  76.       from the Allty mark.
  77.  
  78.    2. A dialog box will pop up, you can specify the application name in
  79.       the Description edit box and give the full path of the application
  80.       in the Command Line edit box.
  81.  
  82.    3. You also can use 'Browse' function to locate the application. By click
  83.       on 'Browse' button, another dialog box will pop up. Use this to locate
  84.       the application you want to add.
  85.  
  86.    4. You will find step 2 and 3 pretty familiar if you ever add a new
  87.       item to Program Manager.
  88.  
  89.       After you add an application entry, the Description part will be
  90.       displayed as a menu item under menu bar Allty mark. You can select
  91.       it and MenuLoad will load the application for you.

  93.       There is a maximum 16 application entries limit for MenuLoad.

  96. D. Remove An Application Entry
  97.  
  98.    1. You can remove an existing application entry by selecting
  99.       'Configure...', 'Delete Entry...'.
  100.  
  101.    2. A dialog box will pop up and you can select an application entry to
  102.       be removed. Only the Description of the application will be displayed.
  103.  
  104.    3. After select an application entry, click on the 'Delete' button.
  105.  
  106.    4. You will be confirmed for deleting an entry you selected.

  109. E. Configure As Submenu
  110.  
  111.    1. You can change the way Allty mark pull down menu's look by selecting
  112.       'Configure...', 'As Submenu'.
  113.  
  114.    2. The list of application entries can be arranged in two way, one is
  115.       all the application entries are menu items under menu name Allty mark
  116.       and another way is all the application entries are in a cascading
  117.       menu under a menu item 'Run Entry...'.
  118.  
  119.    3. A check mark will be placed or removed from 'As Submenu' menu item
  120.       as an indication of toggle status.

  122. F. Exit MenuLoad
  123.  
  124.    1. In any case you want to exit MenuLoad but not Windows you can
  125.       select 'Configure...', 'Exit Menuload...'.
  126.  
  127.    2. You will be confirmed for exiting.
