- D'Button Version 1.2.f
-
-
- What is DBTN.EXE?
- DBTN.EXE (D'Button) is a small FREE(!) program that allows you to
- configure two buttons to start programs of your choice. In addition,
- you can supply data to the program you are starting.
-
-
- !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Note !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- DBTN.EXE can be freely distributed as long as there is no charge for it.
- When distributed, the following UNMODIFIED FILES must be
- included: DBTN.EXE, DBTN.WRI and DBTN.TXT.
-
- It must also be noted, DBTN.EXE is provided "AS IS". That is, without
- warranty of any kind, expressed or implied.
-
-
- Whats New:
- Version 1.0.f was the initial release of this program. You are
- limited to two buttons in this version. Also, the program does not
- verify the program name until the button is selected.
-
- Version 1.1.f includes minor dialog box updates. That is, you can now
- enter longer program names and data.
-
- Version 1.2.f includes:
- 1) Expanded error messages when D'Button cannot start a program.
- 2) Fixes to help Windows find the program to run.
-
- How to start:
- You can start DBTN.EXE in the customary Windows methods. These include,
- File Manager, adding the program to an existing group, etc.
-
-
- What does it do after it has started?
- DBTN.EXE will load and then appear as a small Window on your desktop ready
- for use.
-
- To configure D'Button:
-
- 1) Use the mouse pointer and click on the "D'Button"
- button
-
- 2) Use the 'accelerator' keys to select the "D'Button"
- button
-
- 3) Use the system menu to select the configure option
-
-
- Then a dialog box will appear that allows you to
- specify:
-
- Name: The name that will appear in the button.
-
- Program: The program name to start. Include any path
- statement as/if required.
-
- Data: Any additional data to supply to the program.
-
- If you then select 'OK', the information will be written
- to a file called DBTN.INI.
-
- What's Next:
- Lots More!
-
- Enjoy!
