- The accompanying file (MONMOUSE.DOC) is in Word for Windows format. I
- haven't translated it into a text file because it would loose much of the
- clarity that formating and different fonts and font sizes give it. However,
- if you wish to have a copy of it in Windows Write, or just plain text format
- send me BIXmail and I'll see what I can do.
-
- MONMOUSE.DOC tells about how the Elographics Inc. touchscreen drivers for
- Windows were written and how problems that were encountered were overcome.
- If you are writing or thinking of writing a device driver for Windows, this
- may be helpful in giving you an overview of how Windows drivers function as
- well as how to implement some of those tasks unique to a Windows driver. Of
- course, if you are not writing a mouse or touchscreen driver, some or much
- of this will be only so much drivel, but there are also things that apply to
- all Windows drivers like TSR instancing and IRQ vurtualization.
