-
- S7 Frequencies
- The S7 type frequencies that were available in the DOS version
- of OnTime are not directly supported in OnTime for Windows.
- However, the same effect can be achieved by creating a N1 record
- with a start and end date as required. This method is more
- efficient, and will allow you to easily modify, delete, or
- reschedule all occurrences of this record if so required.
-
- Timed Program Execution
- OnTime for Windows can launch other programs at a predetermined
- time. For example, you could have OnTime load MicroSoft Notepad
- with a document ready to read for a meeting.
-
- To do this:
- 1. Create an appointment at the time you require.
- 2. Turn on the alarm option.
- 3. In the message field enter
- #OTRUN:<PROGRAM> <PARAMETERS> ...
- In our example this might be #OTRUN:NOTEPAD.EXE README.DOC
- and OnTime for Windows will load Notepad with the README.DOC
- file at the selected time, instead of playing an alarm.
-
- DeskJet Printer
- We recommend that DeskJet users configure the OnTime
- printouts to print in Portrait Mode. The default fonts
- that windows generates for Landscape are not aesthetically
- pleasing. If you have a Type Manager such as Adobe, or
- Facelift, or MoreFonts, you may not encounter this problem.
-
- The default right margin for the deskjet in Landscape should
- be no less than 1/2 an inch, otherwise the right edge of the
- printout will be cut off.
-
- The default top margin for the deskjet in Portrait should
- be no less than 1/2 an inch, otherwise the top edge of the
- printout will be cut off.
-
- There have been occasional reports of characters missing from
- printouts when using the DeskJet Plus driver. It is therefore
- recommended that you use the DeskJet driver.
-
- NEC P/6 Printer
- The default right margin for the NEC P/6 in Landscape should
- be no less than 3/4 an inch, otherwise the right edge of the
- printout will be cut off.
-
- The default top margin for the NEC P/6 in Portrait should
- be no less than 3/4 an inch, otherwise the top edge of the
- printout will be cut off.
