  5. 32-bit is finally here!
  6.  
  7. This is Release 17.2 of FRACTINT for OS/2 2.0.
  8. Even though this is the initial release, it is called 17.2.
  9. (I want to get in synch with the versions of Fractint for DOS).
  10.  
  11. It requires IBM OS/2 release 2.0.
  12. It will not work on any OS/2 release 1.x.
  13.  
  14. This version is based on the fractal calculation engine from
  15. FRACTINT for DOS version 17.2 (the "portable" source).
  16.  
  17. I develop on IBM OS/2 2.0 with the IBM C Set/2 compiler.
  18.  
  19. For a list of what's new, run the program, hit F1, highlight
  20. "What's New" and hit enter.
  21.  
  22. The documentation files are as follows.  Please read each in turn.

  24. READ.ME       which you are reading
  25. INTRO.DOC     which details the evolution of FRACTINT and where
  26.               PMFRACT fits in.  It is the same as the online Help/Introduction.
  27. INSTALL.DOC   which gives installation instructions
  28. FUTURES.DOC   wherein I address what is not implemented.
