-
- This project isn't really far enough along that I'd call it a
- message reader, but that's what I hope it grows up to be. It's as it is
- so that I can get a little feedback on the presentation aspects of the
- message reading portion.
-
- It only processes *.MSG messages and only a single message
- that's in the current directory in a file named TEST.MSG, that's where
- this message is. If you want to look at messages other than this one
- feel free to copy any *.MSG message to TEST.MSG. I'll first be getting
- this to work properly with a *.MSG message base and at that time I'll
- entertain thoughts of making it work with other types of message bases
- such as Squish, QWK, etc.
-
- Actually my main purpose behind starting this project was to
- test a ToolBar library that I'm working on. The toolbar at the top of
- MsgView's window is a result of and is processed by this ToolBar
- library.
-
- Some things don't work, others do. I'd appreciate any feedback.
- Reach me in the OS2BBS fidonet echo or netmail to 1:270/114. Thanks for
- havin' a look at this.
-
- Oh, instructions, you wanted instructions, huh. Well, OK. Put
- the MSGVIEW.EXE and TEST.MSG files in a directory on your OS/2 system
- log on to that drive and directory and run MSGVIEW. TEST.MSG must be in
- the default working directory.
-
- I enjoy doing this sort of thing, but I'm severely limited in
- the resources department. I've only got 4 meg o' memory and a 40 meg
- drive and limited programming tools. That makes things difficult at
- times but I still enjoy. If anyone is interested in helping me out
- somehow, let me know via netmail. Thanks.
