- MFM version 1.10 OS/2 release 1 5/12/92
-
- This release is very alpha and has undergone only minimal testing.
- *USE AT YOUR OWN RISK*.
-
- WARNING: Please use this OS/2 version of MFM with an awareness that it
- surely contains bugs from the porting process. Some bugs may be quite
- dangerous to your system and it's files. Please, PLEASE, back up any
- files that might possibly be affected. If you don't back something up
- and this thing bites you, don't yell at me as I accept no responsibility
- for what this software may or may not do.
-
- Known bugs, limitations, and notes:
-
- 5/12/92:
-
- 1. Attempting to insert at the first line of a files.bbs results in a
- trap 0d.
-
- 2. View options are disabled.
-
- 3. Shell to DOS is disabled.
-
- 4. Any usage of command line arguments results in a runtime
- error that I just don't have time to deal with right now.
-
- 5. Usage of serial ports isn't coded and shouldn't work even if the
- command line args bug is fixed.
-
- 5/13/92:
-
- 1. Worked around the runtime error with command line args. The -p and -a
- args seem to work OK now but the -c stuff still requires work.
-
- 2. Discovered a bug that seems to hang the program. This seems to occur when
- reading the files.bbs in areas with a lot of orphans.
-
- 5/30/92:
-
- 1. Discovered bug in file copy routine that made the copying and
- moving of files fail. Fixed, I think.
-
- You may report bugs to me by netmail or via the OS2BBS fidonet echo.
- Don't bother Mark Billig with bug reports for this OS/2 port. Only if my
- time permits it will I even attempt to fix anything.
-
- I enjoy doing this sort of thing, but I'm severely limited in the
- resources department. I've only got 4 meg o' memory and a 40 meg drive
- and limited programming tools. That makes things difficult at times but
- I still enjoy. If anyone is interested in helping me out somehow, let me
- know via netmail. Thanks.
