- This is a signle user version of the MODEM WARS game for multiple users.
- It was intended as a demo to build interest in the commercial version.
-
- The documentation says:
-
- Dan Bunten's Modem Wars is a computer action/strategy (war)game that was
- published by Electronic Arts for the Commodore 64 and IBM PC (&compatibles).
-
- This is the freely distributable Modem Wars demo program. It was originally
- released over two years ago to promote sales of Modem Wars. These days, if
- you can find it, Modem Wars sells for $10 to $15 at retail. It did not sell
- enough copies to warrant polishing and releasing the LAN version.
-
- Running the program will give you a chance to view, save, or print some
- additional documentation. The manual that comes with the real game is quite
- a bit more informative, of course, but the demo has enough to get you by.
