  14. This is a signle user version of the MODEM WARS game for multiple users.
  15. It was intended as a demo to build interest in the commercial version.

  19. Dan Bunten's Modem Wars is a computer action/strategy (war)game that was 
  20. published by Electronic Arts for the Commodore 64 and IBM PC (&compatibles).

  22. This is the freely distributable Modem Wars demo program.  It was originally
  23. released over two years ago to promote sales of Modem Wars.  These days, if
  24. you can find it, Modem Wars sells for $10 to $15 at retail.  It did not sell
  25. enough copies to warrant polishing and releasing the LAN version.

  27. Running the program will give you a chance to view, save, or print some
  28. additional documentation.  The manual that comes with the real game is quite
  29. a bit more informative, of course, but the demo has enough to get you by.
