- ;$VER: Ed200Menu v1.0 28-Jan-1995 Martin Kaim
-
- This archive contains extended startup files for C='s Ed 2.00 v37.11
- which, when copied to S: as "ed-startup", give the user access to many
- more of Ed's built in commands than the original startup file does.
- While for English-speaking users, the same effect can be achieved by
- renaming or deleting the 'S:ed-startup' file, the files supplied herewith
- are of special interest to German-speaking users: they supply Ed with a
- partial localization without patching the actual program file, so built-in
- strings are still in English.
- Note: Ed itself is not included for copyright reasons 8-)
-
- English language installation:
- 1.) Rename your original S:ed-startup file to something like
- S:ed-startup.org
- 2.) Copy the supplied S:ed-startup.english to S:ed-startup
- 3.) You're done!
-
- Next time you call Ed, you will probably see some more menus than before -
- if this isn't so, you already had renamed or deleted the startup file
- before and have thus been using Ed with its internal menu settings
- activated, which should basically be the same as with the supplied startup
- file.
-
- DISCLAIMER: as the program 'Ed' wasn't written by me, I take NO
- responsibilities whatsoever for possible malfunctions of Ed when using the
- new startup file. I've tested it, and it worked fine, so there you are.
- Enjoy! - Gwardar
-
- 'Ed' is part of the Workbench distribution and © by the late Commodore-Amiga,Inc.
-
- PS. "The author of the included files takes no responsibility even for
- unforeseeable side-effects of installing these files on your system
- and using Ed afterwards. So, should your cat open your microwave oven's
- door, set the timer to 3 mins., jump in and close the oven door from
- the inside, I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE, regardless of whether it comes out
- rare, medium, well done or as ashes" ;-)
- PPS. Don't do that with your cat, if you love it. In fact, don't do it
- with any of your pets or any other living beings, whether you love them
- or not - it will most probably do them no good!
- ^The aforesaid is also true in respect
- to humans: reading too much legal blurb
- might show similar effects as some time
- spent in the microwave oven. Your brain
- could evaporate and leave you with no
- common sense at all (which doesn't
- necessarily make you a good lawyer ;-)
