  1.                               Veronica and Jughead

  3.           Veronica is an Internet service that allows the searching of key
  4.           words in gopher menu titles.  You can search by directory titles
  5.           only or in all titles.  The indexes Veronica searches are updated
  6.           approximately weekly.  The results of a Veronica search appears
  7.           in the form of a gopher menu which can be accessed like any
  8.           gopher menu.

  10.           There are currently (8/94) eight Veronica servers in the world.
  11.           You may gopher to them directly, or find them all on a menu
  12.           from the U. of Minnesota top level gopher uner "Other Gopher
  13.           and Information Servers."  They are:

  26.           Jughead is like Veronica except it limits the scope of its
  27.           searches to only a portion of gopherspace--the portion of 
  28.           particular interest to those who set up the Jughead server.

  30.           Veronica (and Jughead) searches follow these rules:
  31.            1) You may use the booleans AND, OR and NOT between search
  32.               terms. A space between search words is an implied AND.
  33.            2) You may use the * character as a truncation wildcard.
  34.            3) Searches are case insensitive (upper and lower case do not
  35.               matter.
