  1.                                    Pine
  2.  
  3.           Pine is a Unix program that automates email handling chores.  It
  4.           is menu driven and most commands require only a simple keystroke.
  5.           Sub-menu commands often require a control-key sequence, meaning
  6.           that you should hold down the control key (the one labeled
  7.           Ctrl) and press a letter key.  The symbol ^ is used as an 
  8.           abbreviation for the control key.
  9.  
  10.           Pine supports MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions), which
  11.           means you can attach binary files (computer programs, compressed
  12.           files, graphics, multimedia files) to your email and mail them to 
  13.           someone else who has an email program that supports MIME.  Normal
  14.           Unix mail or xmail does not support MIME.
