- VB Perfect Print beta 1.0 Help file
-
- When you bring up VB Perfect Print, you will see the complete application
- in front of your eyes. Everything is on one form for simplicity. That
- makes this application very easy to use and understand. The follwing will
- explain the basic steps to print out your source code.
-
- Step 1. Load a project file.
-
- Click the [Open] icon on the toolbar to load a VBP (Visual Basic Project)
- file. You will be presented with the basic explorer type dialog box to
- select from. Once loaded, you will see the names of the forms and modules
- from the project listed in the large listbox on the left (labeled forms
- and modules).
-
- Step 2. Select forms and Modules to print
-
- You can select one, all or as many as you like to print by clicking on
- each individual name or you may click "ALL" at the bottom of the list box.
- To deselect all of the selected names, click [clear selected]. You must
- must select at least one to print anything.
-
- Step 3. Tailor the way you want your printout to look
-
- You can set the font size, bold, italic and color for comments, code,
- functions names, title and lines(color and thinkness only). You can also
- set the margins (the application always leaves about 1 inch on the left
- so you can put the print out in a note book). Page numbers option will
- print the date and page numbers at the bottom of each page. Page borders
- will print a border around each page.
-
- Once you get the options set, you can click [Save] which will make your
- selections the default selections until you change them. If you ever
- want to go back to the original settings, click [Default] on the toolbar
- and the settings will go back to the original default settings.
-
- Step 4. Printing
-
- Once you have all of your settings the way you want them, click [Print]
- on the toolbar and the application will begin reading the selected forms
- and modules and will begin printing. You will notice the names of your
- subroutines and functions poping up in the list box on the right. This
- is for refernce only for now but is used in the registered version of the
- program.
-
- *Note - Not all printers are the same and alot of them lie about their
- true margins so you may need to play with the margin settings to get the
- printout to print completly on the page. sometimes the printout may fade
- off the right side if the printer lies about it's margin so increase the
- right margin a tad. Same goes for the bottom margin.
-
- Step 5. Exiting the program
-
- Once you have your printout, just click the [Exit] button on the toolbar
- and you leave the application.
-
-
-
- The full registered program has many more options available and will be
- available as shareware with many more features. We are toying with the
- notion of releasing a limited version like this beta as freeware if there
- is enough interest.
-
- Any comments, problems or other, please email dp@one.net with your info.
-
- At this time we will provide support only through email for this
- beta version. We will try to help you if you have a problem but since
- this is a beta, we may not be able to help everyone right away.
