  4. 1. The purpose of the program.

  6.    ASP Power Widgets(tm) is a software package targeted for web developers of
  7.    Microsoft Personal Web Server and Internet Information Server. This release
  8.    consists of four ActiveX DLLs, one executable and sample ASP application
  9.    scripts. More and more components would be released soon.

  11.  File/Directory    Checks existence of files/directories,
  12.     Management     copies/renames/removes files/directories, lists
  13.   Product ID 100   directories, changes  attributes and reads/writes
  14.                    files, checks disk space, reads file info such as
  15.                    last access time, etc.

  17.       Mail         Sends mails from ASP with great easy.
  18.     Management     Reads and sends files directly.
  19.   Product ID 100   Sends attachments.
  20.                    Specifies special mail header fields.
  21.                    MIME 1.0 compliant.

  23.     FileUpload     Seamlessly works with ASP scripts.
  24.   Product ID 100   Supports multiple file uploading at a time.
  25.                    Supports user session authentication(CGI EXE version).
  26.                    Supports User disk quota and uploading file type

  33.      DnsQuery      DnsQuery Component sends your query to interNic Whois
  34.   Product ID 110   server and returns you the response. Moreover, it will
  35.                    try to parse the response and let you get specific
  36.                    fields such as administrative email, etc. You can use
  37.                    this component to check if a domain name such as
  38.                    what.com has been taken or not.
  39.                    DnsQuery Component is especially useful for those
  40.                    Virtual Domain hosts.

  47. 2. How to install the program
  48.  
  49.    Use winzip to unzip it first. Then copy files to their respective directories. 
  50.    For example, fileupload.zip contains:

  58.    Copy files in cgi-bin directory to your own /cgi-bin directory.
  59.    Copy ASP demo scripts in asp directory to your wwwroot directory.

  61.    Manually run regsvr32.exe to register the components( for ActiveX Dlls only). 
  62.    For example, register MailMgt.Dll by typing "regsvr32 Mailmgt.dll".

  64.    Furthermore, on your server, you must have installed VB5 virtual machine already.

  68.    Review ASP demo scripts and make some necessary changes. Then you
  69.    can try the ASP demo files.

  71.    For file uploading, you can type http://your_server/fileupload.asp in your
  72.    browser.

  77.    ASP Power Widgets is available for a 30 day, full functional evaluation period. To continue to
  78.    use the system beyond that expiry date you must purchase a registration code. You are
  79.    encouraged to make a full evaluation before purchasing, since money-refunding is costly to us
  80.    and thus normally would be refused.
