  21. subgroups.  The charter took effect the 23rd of July, 1991, and is
  22. edited from Bob Sloane's original posting on the cbip
  23. reorganization.  Please contact your system manager if you are not
  24. getting all the discussion subgroups.

  27.   The existing comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d is to be used for discussions about
  28.   the actual programs posted to comp.binaries.ibm.pc, such as bug reports
  29.   (but not articles about missing parts) or requests about how to use the
  30.   programs.

  33. it clearly belongs to cbip.wanted or some non-cbip newsgroup. 
  34. Off-topic postings have been unfortunately quite common ever since
  35. the reorganization.  Keeping the groups organized is in your own
  36. interest.

  39.   This group is to be used to post requests/replies concerning where to
  40.   find ibm pc or compatible programs.  Topics include requests for
  41.   missing parts of binaries posted to comp.binaries.ibm.pc and requests
  42.   for specific programs.

  45.   This group is to be used to post announcements related to archive 
  46.   sites for ibm pc and compatible binary files.  Appropriate articles
  47.   include such topics as announcements of new binaries available,
  48.   connectivity problems with archive sites, and bug/problem reports
  49.   concerning programs from archive sites. Requests concerning where
  50.   particular programs are available are be appropriate, and should
  51.   be posted to the c.b.i.p.wanted group instead.
