     DO-IT Guide to Disability Resources on the Internet

This publication lists Internet resources of potential interest
to people  who have disabilities or are interested in
disability-related issues.   The creation and maintenance of this
publication is partially funded by a  grant from the National
Science Foundation in support of project DO-IT  (Disabilities,
Opportunities, Internetworking, and Technology) at the
University of Washington.  Resources listed include listserv and
listproc  discussion lists, electronic newsletters, newsgroup
discussion groups,  www homepages, and gopher servers.

The most current copy of this resource list can be found on the
gopher  server,  hawking.u.washington.edu.  With the dynamic nature
of the  Internet, the list is always incomplete.  Please send

DSSHE-L is a list about disabled student services in higher

DISRES-L concerns disability-related research.  To subscribe,

Newsletters

The History and Analysis of Disability Newsletter appears 2-3
times a  year.  To receive a copy via electronic mail, send a

ABILITY NETWORK NEWS contains the text of an ink-print cross-
disability newsletter.  Issues can be found on the gopher server
at HAWKING.U.WASHINGTON.EDU, or on the originating server, NSTN.CA.

BIT.LISTSERV.DSSHE-L is a duplicate of the DSSHE-L mailing list.

disability-related issues.

EASI (Equal Access to Software and Information)  deals with
  issues  related to technology and the disabled.  To join, send a

AXSLIB-L focuses on issues surrounding access to libraries by

ADAPT-L focuses on adaptive technology and libraries.  To join,

IBM-SRT is for sharing information about using IBM ScreenReader

VAT enables vendors of adaptive technology to announce their

Newsletters

Information, Technology and Disabilities is a quarterly
electronic  journal devoted to computer use by people with
disabilities.  To join the  list which sends out complete issues,

DO-IT NEWS is a newsletter distributed periodically by the staff
of the  NSF-funded project DO-IT (Disabilities, Opportunities,

NSF-funded project DO-IT (Disabilities, Opportunities,
Internetworking,  and Technology) at the University of
Washington.   It is a collection of  information and links to

individuals with disabilities; adaptive technology; and

devoted  to blindness-related resources.  Among the holdings
