  3. How to use Unix elm to browse my FAQ files

  6.    You can read both Timo's Frequently Asked Questions collections
  7. (tsfaqn*.zip and tsfaqp*.zip) also using Unix elm program. The elm
  8. version I have last used for testing this method was [ELM 2.4 PL21].
  9.    To utilize this possibility, act for example as follows on your
  10. Unix host. First get the unzip program for Unix. (At Garbo see the
  11. /unix/arcers directory for the Unix versions or the archiver
  12. programs). Then extract the text files from e.g. tsfaqn38.zip (or
  13. whatever later version you may have) using
  14.        unzip -a tsfaqn38.zip
  15. to get proper Unix eolns (end of lines). Next apply, for example
  16.        elm -f faqnews.txt
  17. to read this particular file with elm. The same applies, respective,
  18. if you have the Turbo Pascal Frequently Asked Questions set
  19. tsfaqp*.zip.
  20.    The Frequently Asked Questions files can still also be read as
  21. ordinary ascii text files, or by Jeroen Schipper's excellent
  22. ReadMail (see readmail.inf) on a PC.
