  18. Following is a list of Gateways which have Passed the tests required
  19. for gating mail in the FidoNet to Internet direction.
  20. This does *NOT* necessarily mean that the return traffic will be routed
  21. back thru these sites (that is governed by other things).  Sites shown
  22. with an asterisk (*) do NOT handle mail in the Internet -> FidoNet
  23. direction.

  25. All of these systems have passed the tests conducted by
  26. the Hostmaster and genuinely are allowed to carry the GUUCP flag and
  27. do allow gating of mail from ANY Node.
  28.  
  29. To use any other site other than those in this list,  you should
  30. check with the SysOp at the gateway node *before* attempting to send any
  31. traffic to them for gating.

  33. Note that this list includes ONLY those sites registered in the .fidonet.org
  34. Domain.  There are other sites which operate gateways which are NOT handled
  35. by the .fidonet.org Domain-Name-Server.  Those sites operate TOTALLY on
  36. their own and are NOT sanctioned by the Hostmaster.  If you have a problem
  37. with such a site,  please communicate DIRECTly with the SysOp of that site,
  38. I do not want to hear of problems with sites which are not registered
  39. in the DNS.

  41. I do NOT want to hear about "additions or corrections" from THIRD parties,
  42. only from the Gateway operators themselves.

  44. Requirements for flying the GUUCP Flag
  45. --------------------------------------

  47. In order to be authorized to use the GUUCP flag in the FidoNet NODELIST,
  48. a gateway site *must* pass ALL mail in the FidoNet -> Internet direction
  49. thru the gateway *regardless* of origination (sites are allowed to use
  50. whatever utilities at their disposal to block messages from Non-FidoNet
  51. Zones if they desire) *AND* must be registered with the Hostmaster and
  52. operate in the .fidonet.org domain.  Sites may NOT display the GUUCP flag
  53. if the traffic passing thru their gateway passes onto the Internet as part
  54. of any other domain.
