- WELCOME TO STEREOP-JR
-
- Stereop-Jr changes regular pictures into real 3-D pictures. You make the
- regular pictures with a paint program, such as Deluxe Paint or Personal
- Paint. Then you load your pictures into Stereop-Jr and convert them into
- {[000,0,3]stereoscopic} pictures. The far-off things look really far off, and the
- close-up things look as if they're hovering out in front of the screen.
-
- You look at a Stereop-Jr picture through simple home-made glasses with a
- red lens for the left eye and a blue lens for the right eye. Click {[A06,0,7]here} to
- read more about the glasses.
-
- If you have a colour printer, you can make 3-D prints of your pictures.
-
- Click this box to see an example: {[P03,4,7] "The Comet" }
-
- Before you continue, there are three words you should know. In the picture
- you just looked at, the things closest to you (the three people) are in the
- {[000,0,3]foreground} of the picture. The things farthest away (the stars and the comet)
- are in the {[000,0,3]background}. The things between the foreground and the background
- (the trees, house and wall) are in the {[000,0,3]middleground}. There's a fourth word
- we'll use to talk about all three layers or planes. We'll call them {[000,0,3]grounds}.
-
- The next example is called {[P02,4,7] "Hello" }. It was made by three kids. Annie
- (age 9) made the foreground. Kevin (11) made the middleground. And Mary (7)
- made the background.
-
- The last example is called {[P19,4,7] "Dinosaurs" }. Later we'll show you how to make
- your own 3-D dinosaur picture.
-
- True stereoscopic painting is an unexplored field on the Amiga. Stereop-Jr
- gives you a creative tool for becoming a stereoscopic pioneer.
-
-
- If you don't feel creative, StereopJr also includes an easy game. Just
- click the GAME button on the main panel to start. The idea is to shoot
- the nine balls as quickly as possible with as few shots. A good score is
- over 1000.
