  10. |RHistory:|N Italian colony from 1890, the Eritrea came under British military administration in 1941 during the Second World War.
  11. 1952 it was handed over to Ethiopia, according to a resolution of the UN General Assembly, but with internal selfgoverning.
  12. 1962 it was fully integrated with Ethiopia and the selfgoverning was at end.
  13. At the end of the 1960:s an armed liberationstruggle started. This struggle was crowned with success in 1993.
