  7.     The Homestead Maillist is where
  8. many Commodorians hang out on the
  9. internet. For those who have avoided
  10. getting on line, a maillist is a way
  11. to email many people at once. A member
  12. sends something to the Homestead
  13. address, and Homestead forwards it on
  14. to all the members, who read and
  15. reply.
  16.  
  17.     The result is a lively and
  18. informative conversation, a place to
  19. ask questions and get answers, and to
  20. keep up on the news of all Commodorea.
  21. A couple of weeks ago, someone (Paul
  22. Panks, I believe) began a "thread" by
  23. telling of his first encounters with
  24. computing in general and Commodores in
  25. particular. He invited others to join
  26. the fray.

  28.     And many did. I grabbed many of
  29. the the postings and put them together
  30. on this issue in order to share the
  31. varied paths our friends took to
  32. infatuation with a capable little
  33. computer.
