  5.     At the LUCKI EXPO 2004, we
  6. announced that LOADSTAR is good
  7. through issue 246. That's right! Our
  8. subscriptions have actually gone up --
  9. and we are seeing another surge of
  10. interest and enthusiasm for the C-64.
  11. Nine of the 64 attendees became
  12. LOADSTARites at the Expo. Thanks!
  13.  
  14.     This issue is loaded with graphics
  15. -- especially from Louisville. As I
  16. write this, President Reagan's funeral
  17. is on the TV. So, in honor of the
  18. strong patriotic feelings now surging
  19. through the US, we have a music/image
  20. presentation for your Summer Holiday
  21. (OK -- an important USA Summer
  22. Holiday).

  24.     Five of the demos from the EXPO
  25. are brought to you in a fairly full
  26. form. And, as announced and demoed at
  27. the EXPO, LOADSTAR presents:

  29.               DOTBASIC!
  30.  
  31.  This is a major BASIC extension that
  32. includes Mr.Mouse 2.1, Visual Screen
  33. design, Object Oriented features, and
  34. an Event Driven environment. Even if
  35. you have always thought that writing
  36. programs was beyond you, DOTBASIC
  37. makes it so easy that you will want to
  38. try your hand at it.
  39.  
  40.     And, because of your feedback, the
  41. Super LOADSTAR Library is back,
  42. updated through issue 230 -- and
  43. complete on side 4, ready for MCopying
  44. to your own Library Disk. (Due to its
  45. size, side 4 does not have even the
  46. most rudimentary Return to LS
  47. capability.) If you tried Super LS
  48. Library out on 229, you know that
  49. searches are easy to format, and the
  50. entire LOADSTAR database is available
  51. at one time.

  53.     We have also included a bit of fun
  54. from Chris Ryan's Commodore Gazette,
  55. and a great spoof on that earlier
  56. Gazette we all enjoyed so much in the
  57. 1980's.
