- INTRODUCTION
- ------------
-
- PETALS is a two-player game.
- Initially all thirteen petals are
- occupied by a marker. Each turn, a
- player may capture one marker or two
- adjacent markers. The player who
- captures then last marker wins.
-
-
- NAVIGATION
- ----------
-
- The pointer can be moved by a
- mouse in port 1, or a joystick in
- port 2, or the keyboard cursor keys.
-
- For the joystick, the FIRE button
- and [F7] are used as the left and
- right mouse buttons, respectively.
-
- For the keyboard, [SPACE] and
- [RETURN] are used as the left mouse
- button, and [F7] as the right mouse
- button.
-
- The left mouse button is used to
- make a selection. A selection can also
- be made with an indicated [KEY].
-
- Click on the empty petal again, or
- the center to indicate the capture of
- one marker.
-
- There are two player buttons; [1]
- and [2]. Use these buttons to toggle
- the player between human and computer.
- If you want to toggle both, use the
- right mouse button.
-
- There are two command buttons;
- Play and Quit.
-
- PLAY starts a new game using the
- current options.
-
- QUIT quits PETALS, and returns you
- to LOADSTAR or BASIC.
-
- Note, [STOP] has been disabled.
