  7.     Galaxian took the classic Space
  8. Invaders a giant step forward. Not
  9. only did the twitching aliens move in
  10. formation and lob back deadly
  11. missiles, now sortees of suicide craft
  12. turn and engage in a rear holding
  13. action.
  14.  
  15.     Action. And color! Video games
  16. were coming into their own. On the
  17. home front, sophisticated color and
  18. sound brought much of the coin-op
  19. excitement right into the living room
  20. television set or computer monitor.

  22.     This game appears to be ported to
  23. the C-64 from another platform,
  24. possibly Apple II. Note that the very
  25. restricted explosions are square edged
  26. -- and smaller than the VIC II
  27. Moveable Objects. The action is a bit
  28. sluggish, and pretty much what made
  29. the arcade version a great hit.

  31.     But that was the way with
  32. commercial software in the hurly-burly
  33. days of multiple platforms. Like the
  34. flying intergalactic ships, computer
  35. games were finding their wings.
