- This is our 24th issue of LOADSTAR
- -- OK, we are running behind. But this
- issue should be right on the heels of
- 222.
-
- It seems just when I wonder if we
- will get enough new material, my email
- box and snail mail box fill up with
- programs. Keep 'em coming! Corky
- Cochran brings us more great music
- with a patriotic flair. And Scene
- World 7 shares news and views from
- Commodorians around the world.
-
- But our biggest news is that Jakob
- Voos from Protovision -- a software
- company in Germany -- sent us "Team
- Patrol." We have a demo version on
- this issue, but the full version is
- available for just $13.
-
- Team Patrol (the full version) is
- a game for up to 4 players, working as
- teams to wrestle their dune buggies
- across all kinds of terrain. Four
- joysticks are possible with a little
- hardware device called the "4-Player."
- It plugs into the "RS-232" slot and
- has two extra joystick ports.
-
- But check out our insert for more
- details.
-
- Richard Derocher has another Sammy
- Marlo adventure for us -- this time as
- a text adventure using QuestReader. I
- took some time to fiddle with Quest
- Writer last month, and it is a great
- way to put together an adventure. It
- is on LS 76, but we will republish it
- soon.

-
- As you probably have heard, Jeri
- Ellsworth's CommodoreOne is in
- production. Operating software is
- still being written -- so I am going
- to wait. But a C=1 is [definitely] on
- my shopping list.
-
- I couldn't get to the Louisville
- Expo this year (sob), but I have a
- recording of Jeri's talk. If I can
- talk Sheri into transcribing it, we
- will bring a text version to you next
- month.
