  5.     This is our 24th issue of LOADSTAR
  6. -- OK, we are running behind. But this
  7. issue should be right on the heels of
  8. 222.

  10.     It seems just when I wonder if we
  11. will get enough new material, my email
  12. box and snail mail box fill up with
  13. programs. Keep 'em coming! Corky
  14. Cochran brings us more great music
  15. with a patriotic flair. And Scene
  16. World 7 shares news and views from
  17. Commodorians around the world.

  19.     But our biggest news is that Jakob
  20. Voos from Protovision -- a software
  21. company in Germany -- sent us "Team
  22. Patrol." We have a demo version on
  23. this issue, but the full version is
  24. available for just $13.

  26.     Team Patrol (the full version) is
  27. a game for up to 4 players, working as
  28. teams to wrestle their dune buggies
  29. across all kinds of terrain. Four
  30. joysticks are possible with a little
  31. hardware device called the "4-Player."
  32. It plugs into the "RS-232" slot and
  33. has two extra joystick ports.

  38.     Richard Derocher has another Sammy
  39. Marlo adventure for us -- this time as
  40. a text adventure using QuestReader. I
  41. took some time to fiddle with Quest
  42. Writer last month, and it is a great
  43. way to put together an adventure. It
  44. is on LS 76, but we will republish it
  45. soon.

  49.     As you probably have heard, Jeri
  50. Ellsworth's CommodoreOne is in
  51. production. Operating software is
  52. still being written -- so I am going
  53. to wait. But a C=1 is [definitely] on
  54. my shopping list.

  56.     I couldn't get to the Louisville
  57. Expo this year (sob), but I have a
  58. recording of Jeri's talk. If I can
  59. talk Sheri into transcribing it, we
  60. will bring a text version to you next
  61. month.
