- If you're getting frustrated in timed
- mode, consider winning a few games in
- classic mode first so you get used to
- the cursor and have a better grasp of
- gameplay.
-
- The most common snag is getting all
- the tiles of one type in a single
- row. Since you can only match off the
- ends of a row, you will never be able
- to clear these tiles. Therefore, the
- best strategy is to try to clear the
- board evenly and keep the rows all
- about the same number of tiles wide.
- This reduces the chances of getting
- stuck with tiles you can't match.
-
- Related to this is getting all the
- Big Gongs on the same side, or your
- last two Small Gongs on opposing
- sides. You should pay attention to
- Gongs first when you can, as matching
- them is more difficult.
-
- Unlike the very first version of
- Mah-Gong, all puzzles in MGSE are
- totally solvable. So, if you can't
- solve the puzzle, then you're the
- only one to blame. ;-)
-
- Rumour has it that not all the cheat
- keys were disabled during
- development. But we'll never admit to
- it.
