  9.     PUZZLE PAGE is the longest
  10. running feature on LOADSTAR. Since
  11. LS #60 Barbara Schulak has provided
  12. us with hundreds of puzzles in her
  13. patented reverse style "Presenter".
  14. That's almost 80 months of superior
  15. puzzledom, so of course it's time for
  16. a meddling maniac (like me) to come
  17. along and change it.
  18.  
  19.     I spent last weekend writing a
  20. new "Presenter" for PUZZLE PAGE and I
  21. hope you like it. Ironically, the
  22. same day that Barbara's beloved
  23. Cleveland Indians were losing the
  24. World Series to the Atlanta Braves I
  25. was working on the program that would
  26. supersede her PUZZLE PAGE program.  I
  27. guess it just wasn't Cleveland's
  28. weekend.
  29.  
  30.     The new program works very much
  31. like the old one. It guess you could
  32. say that I've replaced Barbara's
  33. tired old style with my tired old
  34. style. The main difference is that
  35. the loading time for the puzzles is
  36. reduced a bit, and the disk space
  37. needed is reduced a lot. Now I'll
  38. have an easier time squeezing
  39. Brainware onto Side Two. Who knows?
  40. There may even be room now for an
  41. extra program.

  43.     The puzzles all work the same as
  44. before. Only the menu program has
  45. been modified.

  47.     I hope you like the new program.
  48. It's not a major upgrade but it will
  49. help us put LOADSTAR together better.
