  1. 0A rickety wooden bridge extends across
  2. the chasm, vanishing into the gloom.
  3. A sign posted on the bridge reads,
  4. 'Stop! Pay troll!'
  5. #1The bear lumbers toward the troll, who
  6. lets out a startled shriek and scurries
  7. away. The bear soon gives up the
  8. pursuit and wanders back.
  9. #2The plant spurts into furious growth
  10. for a few seconds.
  11. #3The plant grows explosively, almost
  12. filling the bottom of the pit.
  13. #4The bear eagerly wolfs down your food,
  14. after which he seems to calm down
  15. considerably and even becomes rather
  16. friendly.
  17. #5There's nothing here it wants to eat
  18. (except maybe you).
  19. #6Trolls are brothers of the rocks and
  20. have skin like that of a rhinoceros.
  21. He fends off your blows effortlessly.
  22. #7Gluttony is not one of the troll's
  23. vices. Avarice, however, is.
  24. #8The bear will bite off your hand.
  25. I wouldn't recommend it.
