- id room
- short Ore Cart Room
- action look
- ptell Looks like a railroad yard...ore carts
- all around the room. To the east a set
- of rails disappears into a chiseled
- passage. West is a crawlspace, to the
- south, another. A metal ladder goes up
- into a hole, and a wooden ladder
- disappears down into another hole. To
- the north is a large cast-iron bucket
- attached to a steel cable with a
- complex pulley arrangement that
- apparently can be turned with a crank,
- which would lift the bucket through the
- roof.

- ptell You drop to your belly and enter the
- crawlspace. After a while your knees
- start hurting. (No, I didn't say
- 'Knees!') You remember your last meal,
- with that lovely sauce made with
- butter, egg yolks, vinegar, lemon
- juice, mmm...! How can you be hungry
- at a time like THIS? (She said.)

- ptell You follow the rails into the chiseled
- rock passage. After many turns and
- twists, you find that the way is
- blocked by a rockfall. If you had a
- backhoe or even a forklift you might
- be able to do something, but alas, you
- don't. You return to the room filled
- with ore carts.

- ptell They're all rusted solid. There's no
- way to move them.

- ptell You climb into the bucket, slip the
- steel crank into its matching slot on
- the pulley and start cranking. Each
- turn of the crank raises you and the
- bucket about six inches. You keep on.
