- HEADLINER

-
- This program has made Headlines!!
-
- With your Commodore 64, a VIC-1525
-
- (or compatible) printer, and
-
- Headliner, you can make the
-
- headlines. This program gives you the
-
- ability to make posters, signs,
-
- Christmas cards, or even wrapping
-
- paper.
-
-
- Headliner is a short, yet powerful
-
- program that will get the job done.
-
- It is easy to use as it is driven
-
- with menus. First, you are asked to
-
- decide from among three different
-
- modes. Mode one is regular upper
-
- case letters and graphics. Mode two
-
- is upper and lower case letters.
-
- Mode three is reversed characters.
-
- In the third mode, only upper case
-
- letters are printed in reverse and
-
- also this only applies to the
-
- characters sent to the printer.
-
- Neither upper nor lower case letters
-
- are reversed on the screen.
-
-
- The next menu lets you choose
-
- the size of the headline that will be
-
- printed. Size one is the biggest. It
-
- prints letters a little over an inch
-
- high, with ten letters for each line.
-
- Letters are printed by using their
-
- normal size letters arranged into the
-
- shape of large letters.
-
-
- Size two prints letters about
-
- three-fourths (3/4) of an inch, with
-
- 20 letters per line. Here, letters
-
- are printed using little squares to
-
- make the large letters.
-
-
- Size three and four are the regular
-
- size type and double-width,
-
- respectively. There is no problem
-
- mixing large and small letters on the
-
- same page, so with a little
-
- creativity, you can make some
-
- interesting text.
-
-
- Headliner prints the letters in
-
- groups of lines. After choosing the
-
- size, you are asked to enter the
-
- number of lines. Enter you choice,
-
- then you are prompted to enter the
-
- letters for each line. Once the
-
- printing has finished, the menu is
-
- returned to the screen.
