- SYMBOL MASTER (S/M) provides you
-
- with a full assembly listing print-out
-
- or a source code listing to disk. The
-
- print out or the disk listing format
-
- will vary according to editor/assem-
-
- bler selected. S/M at the present
-
- time will support the following
-
- editor/assemblers:
-
- (1) MAE
- (2) PAL
- (3) DEVELOP 64
- (4) CBM 64
-
- By using one of the monitors
-
- included on the disk and the print-
-
- out, you can develop a source code
-
- listing that may be easily modified
-
- by using one of the above
-
- editor/assemblers. If you want
-
- comments on your source listings or
-
- print-out, you will have to provide
-
- them yourself.
-
- If you have ever wondered how an
-
- auto-boot works so that you could
-
- modify it, then 'SYMBOL MASTER' is for
-
- you. After a little work with one of
-
- the monitors to determine where the
-
- data and tables are in the boot, you
-
- can load the program with an offset
-
- into memory and then print-out the
-
- boot with its original memory
-
- locations to study to your heart's
-
- content.
-
- The disk also contains numerous
-
- examples of machine language programs
-
- and command pages to convert these
-
- programs to symbolic listings. The
-
- examples plus the excellent manual
-
- included with the disk provides a
-
- great training tool for the serious
-
- machine language programmer.
-
- In closing, let me quote a few
-
- lines from a recent Schnedler System's
-
- letter about future upgades; ....Here
-
- is a list of the upgrades planned
-
- for the fall of 1985:
-
-
- (1) Support for the LADS and MERLIN
- assemblers.
-
- (2) The ability to import your own
- label names to be used in the
- assembly
-
- (3) Enhanced 6502 instruction set,
- i.e. 65C02, as a selectable
- option
-
- (4) Formatted disk file (word-
- processor) output directly from
- SYMBOL MASTER
-
- (5) A version specifically for the
- C-128 computer in its native
- 8502 (128K) mode if that computer
- is actually available.
