  8. away CENTIPEDEs?  So you think you

  10. can destroy the BEACH-HEAD?  Well,

  12. let's see just how well you stack up.

  14.   Thanks to an idea brought to our
  15.  
  16. attention by Ron Coffen of Hagerstown,
  17.  
  18. MD, we at LOADSTAR have decided to
  19.  
  20. start a HIGH SCORE column.
  21.  
  22.   If you think that your scores are
  23.  
  24. good, send them in.  All we ask is
  25.  
  26. that you have the score verified by
  27.  
  28. someone.  That someone can be your
  29.  
  30. little sister, your mother, your wife,
  31.  
  32. or maybe even your pet goldfish.  All
  33.  
  34. we ask is that you be honest in your
  35.  
  36. account of your score.  We will
  37.  
  38. publish a list of the highest scores
  39.  
  40. that we receive every month.
  41.  
  42.    We will only accept entries from
  43.  
  44. commercial games or games which have
  45.  
  46. appeared on LOADSTAR. In addition to
  47.  
  48. having your name appear as THE NUMBER
  49.  
  50. 1 player, you may also receive a box
  51.  
  52. of disks as a reward. Every month, we
  53.  
  54. will have our trusty C-64 pick a
  55.  
  56. winner.  That winner will be selected,
  57.  
  58. at random, from our current list of
  59.  
  60. high scores.  The person who is
  61.  
  62. picked will receive a box of ten
  63.  
  64. disks.
  65.  
  66.   If you maintain the high score for
  67.  
  68. a game for a period of one year, your
  69.  
  70. name will be moved into the LOADSTAR
  71.  
  72. HALL OF GAMERS.
  73.  
  74.   So send those high scores in.  You
  75.  
  76. can send your scores either on a paper
  77.  
  78. note or by way of the STARLINE on the
  79.  
  80. FEEDBACK DISK which you can create.

  82. Remember, we're looking for your best
