-
- This is a super-easy to use word
-
- processor. It has just about all the
-
- features you could want. It has
-
- word-wrap, merge files, automatic page
-
- numbering, customized lay-outs, 80
-
- column viewing of final draft (not
-
- readable), and much more.
-
- As you use it, you become aware of
-
- the many features. For example,
-
- I had problems when printing with a
-
- letter quality Smith Corona daisy
-
- wheel printer with single sheets. I
-
- then noticed it has an option to put
-
- in customized printer commands. You
-
- may repeat the same commands or select
-
- new ones when you begin to print.
-
- Before printing you have the option of
-
- setting the type of paper (single or
-
- continuous), seeing the final
-
- document, or selecting starting page
-
- number.
-
- It is probably usable with any
-
- printer. You customize the setup at
-
- the beginning of the program. You set
-
- the seletions your printer will need
-
- and save these customized selections.
-
- You may also save custom selections
-
- for top, bottom, left, and right
-
- margins, and left or right alignment.
-
- When editing, you can erase,
-
- insert, find, find and replace, copy,
-
- etc...
-
- Now for the weaknesses: It has so
-
- many built in features that it uses up
-
- a bundle of memory. (It takes a full
-
- four minutes to load.) I found that
-
- in trying to type a long single spaced
-
- document, my computer ran out of
-
- memory when I reached the middle of
-
- the third page. At that time I was
-
- stuck. Luckily I had saved it after
-
- the second page.
-
-
- Another feature it lacks is color
-
- selection. When typing, you get white
-
- letters on a black background.
-
- The manual appears to be adequate.
-
- However it leaves items out that
-
- experience alone teaches you. When I
-
- first considered buying it, I met an
-
- elderly couple who were also looking
-
- for a word processor. They said they
-
- did not like the automatic page
-
- numbering feature. Ironically, it has
-
- a built-in option that allows you to
-
- supress line numbers and choose
-
- heading or page foot messages. They
-
- did not know this because the manual
-
- didn't explain it.
-
- The makers will provide a backup
-
- copy for $10.
