  9. printer.  It won't print.  Everything

  11. works fine except the ribbon is not

  13. turning, so consequently it does not

  15. print.  I wrote Commodore about it and

  17. have not received a reply yet.  Maybe

  19. someone knows something I don't.

  33. of a printer interface that will work
  34.  
  35. with the STAR printer and the VIC and
  36.  
  37. C-64. The interface I have now, it
  38.  
  39. came with the printer, is a Cardco
  40.  
  41. Card?A. It works well for the usual
  42.  
  43. things like printing out program
  44.  
  45. listings but I can't use some of the
  46.  
  47. special functions of the word
  48.  
  49. processors I have. Even though the
  50.  
  51. printer is  a bi-directional printer I
  52.  
  53. can't make it underline or overstrike.
  54.  
  55. If some one knows of a printer
  56.  
  57. interface that will work with this
  58.  
  59. printer, I would appreciate hearing
  60.  
  61. from you.

  73.        HELP WITH TWO DRIVES

  76.   I have two 1541 disk drives and
  77.  
  78. a 1525 printer. I have had several
  79.  
  80. problems with using both disk drives.
  81.  
  82. The second drive is hard-wired as #9.
  83.  
  84.   The first problem I had was that
  85.  
  86. both drives would lock-up. On a tip
  87.  
  88. from an owner of another brand of
  89.  
  90. computer, I reversed the order of the
  91.  
  92. drives.  It still happens once in
  93.  
  94. a while, but not near as often.
  95.  
  96.   The next problem I had was that
  97.  
  98. certain software would not work right
  99.  
  100. with both drives on. This happened
  101.  
  102. mainly with commercial programs.
  103.  
  104. Turning off the second disk drive
  105.  
  106. seemed to cure this.
  107.  
  108.      The last problem I had was with
  109.  
  110. the COPY ALL program.  I could only
  111.  
  112. copy 1 to 3 programs to drive #9
  113.  
  114. before drive #8 would die. I would
  115.  
  116. then have to re-run COPY ALL. This one
  117.  
  118. puzzled me for quite some time.
  119.  
  120. Finally I realized that I had my
  121.  
  122. printer turned on. I turned it off and
  123.  
  124. had no more problems.
