  18. This file contains information on how to install the TGradientFill component.

  20. Component Installation:
  21.  
  22. First you need to begin by installing the RzLabel component.  It is a Freeware component
  23. created by Ray Konopka of Raize Software Solutions, Inc.  This component is needed for the
  24. TGradientFill component to install successfully.  It is not necessary to install the RzLabel
  25. component, if you do not want to, but the RzLabel .DCU file must be in the same directory as
  26. the Gradient Fill component or within the component search path.

  28. Begin by installing the component into the Delphi VCL by following the instructions in the
  29. Delphi manual.  Once this is done, you need to merge the Help Index into the Delphi help
  30. system so that you can get context-sensitive help while developing with the component.

  33. Merge the Help Index into Delphi Help:

  35. You need to merge the keyword file into the master Help index for Delphi.  To merge your
  36. keyword file into the Delphi master Help index,
  37.  
  38. 1.  Make sure you have placed your keyword (.KWF) file along with the compiled Help
  39.      (.HLP) file in the directory with the compiled unit that contains your components.
  40. 2.  Run the HELPINST application.  HELPINST is a Windows application installed with
  41.      Delphi.

  43. When HELPINST finishes, the Delphi master help index (.HDX) file includes the keywords
  44. for the component's Help screens.
